Do you?

I was just thinking of this song I wrote some years back. For some reason it came ringing in my head. Okay, sing with me,

Thank you Jesus for your blood at calvary,
Thank you God for your Son Jesus,
Thank you for everything You have done,
Were it not for your blood at calvary,
Surely hell would be mine,
But through your unfailing love you rescued me.

Oh I live my Jesus (Mmmh)
Oh I love my savior (Mmmh)

When I remember your ordeal with the Jews
When I remember the cross episode,
I will never turn back to sin,
Ive made my mind to follow Jesus,
Ive made my mind to persue righteousness
All the days of my life

As this words rung in my mind, I suddenly felt the depth of the words. I remember i wrote the song at around easter, with the crucifixion mood all over. Now at this point i ask myself, what exactly was the cross episode? Figure the six inch nail driving through the arms of the Great I am. Figure the pain on His face, hear Him telling God to lift the cup of Him if it was possible...Hear the cry ringing through the air.....My God why have you forsaken Me. It certainly was not a circus, no games were being played and certainly there was no jovial mood then.

And what was the ordeal with the Jews, Oh no..... I never looked forward to six of the best in my school days. I worked hard to remain a good boy, not to please my father but to make sure that the cane never left its storage corner. I can figure out the strokes of the whips my Savior had...if the passion of the Christ movie is anything to go by....Jesus I hope you still don't have the marks to date.

It is easy to write, blog, update on facebook or any other site and state how you love Jesus. But Pose for a moment and ask, do you really love Christ. remember the million dollar question to Peter, Three times this question was asked, Peter, do you love Me?

In public places do you love Jesus?
In the confines of your room, do you love Christ?
In your work place do you love Christ?
With your peers, do you love Christ?

I ASK, DO WE REALLY REALLY LOVE CHRIST? IF SO THEN LETS FEED THE LAMBS

My life’s Buoy

So jealously have I decided to guard,
Because it may take a lifetime to find,
Takes reason to find one of kind,
Hope, that’s how it is defined.

Hope takes you to the greatest heights,
And gives you a smile in your plights,
Any time in your life there are doubts,
Hope, that’s what you need.

In life’s mighty ocean as I sail,
In many of my endeavors I may fail,
But one place I will not aim,
And that’s going to the pessimist’s jail.

Faced my ever consistent maze of mediocrity,
One thing I will hung to is Hope.
If my ambition is in definite obscurity,
My light will come from hope.
To cultivate the seed of sanguinity,
Pessimism I will cast from my vicinity!

Beauty

Mirror morror on the wall, who is the most beautiful of all living souls.....How dare you ask???? ofcourse the one standing before this mirror....Oh, I just had to be sure!

Ask me what is beauty? For those on social networks like facebook and hi5, I will tell you, beauty is having your photo marvelled on five years after you posted it. At this point I will stop to ask, which is wrong here, the question or the answer?

From a carnal point of view, what counts is my body, my physique, my facial orientation, my choice for wardrobe, my slang, my....oh my.......So mandatory are this that it is a prequalification for social match ups. recently one of my buddies status read like, "I will unfriend all that do not have photos" and yet on another adored radio channel recently agreed across the divide that all ladies had to be Naomi Campbells and all men ahd to be Enrique Iglessias. Wore unto them that fall outside this brackets.

My candid thoughts, all this overated. Ask the wisest of the wise, Solomon, he tested and saw all this was vanity. Honestly what does it profit to please the whole world and the beauty that counts is a malignant condition in your life?

Don't get me wrong, at no point do i insinuate that you throw your grooming skills to the dogs. Not at all. My point is, what if we groomed our hearts the same way we groom our bodies? What if we religiously remembered to commune with the author of beauty the same way we remembered to carry our handbags? What if honesty, love, kindness, generosity...i mean all the fruits of the holyspirit were beautifully displayed in our hearts as our wadrobes are displayed?

Tell me, what is beauty to you??
